CSA - Frequently Asked Questions
When is the first pick-up date?
Our first pick up is for the 2008 season is Saturday June 14th. The CSA ends the at the last market in October.
Will there be enough produce for me to can and freeze?
The CSA share is not intended for canning, freezing or sharing
with friends and family. However, we do offer case discount on items we
have available for wholesale, so you will still be able to can tomatoes
at a reasonable price!
I usually come just to Saturday market what happens if I miss a market.
As a share member you may come to any market we attend at any time we are there. Come three times a week if you like.
Can I pick-up my share at Sunday Market?
We will be attending most Sunday Markets in 2009, however we will not be bringing our full selection of produce. As a share member you are still welcome to pick-up produce on the Sunday's we attend, however, for the best selection, we recommend Saturday or Tuesday Markets.
We usually go on vacation in August for two weeks.
Do you have a friend or family member who would enjoy using
your share while you are gone? Send them while you are gone – for us
it’s a valuable way to introduce a new person to the CSA concept. Just
let us know who will be picking up in your stead before you depart.
Do I need to come to market early to get a good selection?
We strive bring enough produce to have a bountiful display at
the end of each market. However, some items inevitably are sold out at
the end of market. For the best selection it is best to arrive at
market before noon. Of course, if you miss an item you are always
welcome to come to the next market that week.
