LettuceButternut Squash,  Acorn SquashCeleriac, BeetsTatsoiBell PeppersParsnips

There are just a few weeks left in our CSA season, but we still have some great produce for you! It’s another week for parsnips, and the first celeriac of the fall! Celeriac is a knobby root vegetable, if you’ve never used be sure to check out our post on chopping one. We have butternut and acorn squash this week, these will store for a while if you want to save them. We’re lucky to have peppers again this week, but it looks like it will frost this weekend. It’s shaping up to be a beautiful day on the farm, but it looks like a cold weekend. Make a big batch of Butternut Squash Chili for your trick or treaters! It’s an on week for beets, and this week’s recipe is Beet Brownies! If you’ve never tried chocolate and beets, you must give this a try. As November approaches we’re getting closer to the end of our CSA, final Tuesday deliveries are November 11th, and final Wednesday deliveries are November 12th. Looking for a Thanksgiving turkey to go with your Winter CSA Share? Contact our friends the Good Life Farm, they’re delivery local, organic turkeys to some of our pick-up sites.
