This Week’s CSA Harvest

We are on the edge of Autumn folks! Chris and I have been inspecting the fields and noticing that many of our fall crops are just about to start coming in. Cabbages, Winter Squash, acres of Kale, fall Carrots, Turnips, and Radishes… too much to list.

It looks like we’ll have another beautiful CSA box this week – Here’s the forecast:

Sweet Italian Peppers
Cabbage (green or Napa)

Summer Squash

Coming Soon:
Winter Squash
Fall Cabbage
more Kale

Boxes, Boxes, Boxes!

Just a quick reminder to help us out by bringing your boxes back, folded down and clean to your pickup location. The boxes cost us around a $1 each – not terribly expensive per unit, but believe me – it adds up! Plus, the more we reuse the fewer of our natural resources we use up!

If you haven’t seen it yet – you just gotta check out Harvest Manager Paul’s amusing video on how to properly unfold the boxes.  JUST CLICK HERE.

Oh and one more important thing about the boxes: Let’s all chip in and do our part for food safety –Please only use your box for vegetables and don’t let pets or small children play in the box (as cute as this certainly is).

Please, Please – Tell your friends!

We are still taking signups. In fact, the students are about to head back to College and we count on picking up quite a few CSA members this time of year. So please help us keep doing our good work – spread the word about our CSA to all of your friends and relations!

Thank you all So much!
