CSA Harvest Forecast – Week 12

Cabbage

Week 12 is the half-way point of our CSA program – and the unofficial Labor Day end of summer is just a week away. This week we’ll begin to harvest some of our fall plantings – Radishes, Arugula, Mizuna, and Kohlrabi are all possibilities this coming week. It looks like we’ll have a gap in our Lettuce production our current planting is pretty much over and the next one is a week away – so probably no lettuce this week. We’ll swap Beets for Carrots this week, and Collards or Chard for the Kale. Cucumbers and Summer squash are winding down, and we may go light on Peppers this coming week to let them ripen up in the fields a bit (there will be more next week). We should get a few more weeks of Tomatoes and Winter Squash is just around the corner!
