This Week’s Forecast

Tomatoes are starting to come in! Make sure you check out our page on Heirloom Tomatoes. Heirlooms are delicate, bruise easily, don’t always ripen evenly, and don’t take kindly to transport – but the flavor is worth it.  Not all the tomatoes we grow are heirlooms varieties but you’ll likely see some in your box at some point during the season.

Also this week: Peppers are starting to ripen so we’ll start see some ripe red and yellow sweet peppers working into the rotation. We’re going to do our best to give Kale and Beets a week off – in their place will be Bok Choy and Carrots. And of interest to salad fans – Lettuce is back!

Ok, now for the forecast:

Likely:
Lettuce
Eggplant
Tomatoes
Fennel
Bok Choy
Carrots

Possible:
Cabbage
Swiss Chard
Summer Squash
Beets
Radicchio

Not Far Off:
Cabbages
Kohlrabi
Napa Cabbage
More Onions

Looking Weak:
Fall Onions 🙁

One Planting Waning the Next Planting Not Quite Waxing:
Summer Squash

Please, Please – Tell your friends!

We are still taking signups. In fact, the students are about to head back to College and we count on picking up quite a few CSA members this time of year. So please help us keep doing our good work – spread the word about our CSA to all of your friends and relations!

See those happy faces at the top of the page 🙂 Oh Yeah, Thank YOU so much! Livin’ the dream, livin’ the dream!
