We are just about a month from our first CSA pick-ups and sign-ups have been brisk. There are a few locations that we may have to waitlist so don’t wait till the last minute to sign-up.
Our Syracuse CSA location at Real Food Coop is nearly at capacity, but we do still have room at our Recess Coffee location just down the street – and they’re open till midnight on our drop off day – great hours! Other locations like our Baldwinsville CSA pick-up at Greene Ivy Florist, and our Fayetteville and Manlius CSA locations are doing very well. In North Syracuse our new pick-up at Mother Earth Health Food has been popular and has 15 new members already.
Our Auburn CSA members are currently rallying to help us reach our goal of at least 60 members at our Hoopes Park location. We’re getting close to this goal, but there’s plenty of room in the garage on South Herman Ave., so this site wont get waitlisted. We also added a couple new sites in neighboring communities, one in Moravia, and one in Elbirdge. We added these sites a little late in the spring but we’re hoping to reach our goal of at least 10 members at each of these pick-ups.
Things are going quite well for our Ithaca CSA locations as well. Our farmers’ market free choice location at the Ithaca Farmers’ Market is filling up. In the past we’ve never had to waitlist the Free Choice shares, but there’s only about 50 spots left, so it’s a real possibility this season. All of our Neighborhood CSA share locations in Ithaca, our Lansing CSA locations, and our Dryden and Homer – Cortland CSA locations are doing well, but have plenty of room to grow.
We added a new Friday route to serve the needs of the Southern Tier this year and our Binghamton CSA locations doing very well. We have a pick-up downtown at the Tabernacle Methodist Church, and a second pick-up in Endicott at Down to Earth Whole Foods.
The Second week of June is just around the corner! Click on the buttons Above to find out more about our share options and pick-up locations.
