Basic Share Week 19

Basic Share Week 19: October 14th – October 18th

LettuceAcorn Squash, Radish, Beets, Leeks, Potatoes, Hakurei Turnips, Butternut Squash, Kale

Compared to last week it is downright balmy on the farm today! Quite a change from last Friday when the crew stayed late in a scramble to bring in crops that wouldn’t make it through the frost we got Friday evening. In this week’s share we enjoying the first butternut squash! We included a savory soup with the meal plan. There are also the first leeks of the season in this week’s share. Our cured onions are winding down, we expect to see them at least once more in the shares. Leeks should also appear once more, so you might want to add onions to your list if you’re heading to the store this week. We have a lot of awesome fall crops out there like Brussels sprouts, celeriac, parsnips, and more! It’s exciting to have some of our favorites in the shares, although bittersweet as the season comes to an end. The last CSA deliveries will take place the week of November 11th – 15th depending on your delivery day. Extend your share of the harvest with a Winter Share or reserve your share early and take advantage of our Early Renewal Discounts! Details below.
